VC-Blockholding Data

I have meticulously gathered blockholding data for US public companies backed by venture capital (VC) from 1996 to 2021. This data encompasses block positions and board information, meticulously extracted from prospectuses, proxy statements, and 10-K filings. These documents provide insight into VCs' block distributions, with supplementary information sourced from Form 10-K filings. Notably, this dataset plays a pivotal role in the research paper titled "The Exit Behavior of VCs in Post-IPO Portfolio Companies" part of my doctoral thesis.

The roster of VC-backed public companies is founded on the SDC dataset, rendering it distinct from publicly accessible datasets. This specialized compilation ensures precision in the selection of companies.
